Who would have thought, from 1,500 male respondents aged 15-55 across Indonesia, the results of the MEN/O/LOGY Index survey with MarkPlus show that hair has super ‘power’ for their appearance. Almost all, or 96.7 percent, said hair greatly affects their total look.
Now, to maintain this ‘crown’, our guys don’t just use shampoo, you know. It turns out that conditioner is the choice for 34.3 percent of men, and hair tonic follows at 33.2 percent. Wow, they’re getting smarter at hair care to look even more stunning!
Why is Hair So Important for Men?
We know, right, hair is the ‘frame’ of the face. If it’s good, confidence is automatically maximized. But, behind that, there are also complaints that make men ‘insecure’. According to the survey, 22.4 percent of men feel not confident about their hair. This number isn’t small, you know!
The main causes? Hair loss is the biggest fear with 34.7 percent of men experiencing it. Followed by annoying dandruff (34.4 percent) and dry hair that makes it limp (30.1 percent). Well, this is a homework assignment for us, Beauty Besties, to help provide solutions and education to them.

Almost half of them admit to being ‘insecure’ about their current skin condition. No wonder, 42 percent of men feel their skin is dull, and another 37 percent have large pores.
Interestingly, the majority of men are not too worried about signs of aging. In fact, they feel that the older they get, the better they look, because they appear established and mature. It’s very different from women who sometimes feel more confident the younger they are.

Men’s Skincare Is No Longer a Secret!
The most ‘wow’ finding is that many Indonesian men already use skincare regularly, you know! Not only that, they are also aware of more ‘advanced’ products. One of them is ‘cleansing balm’, which is surprisingly used by 6.9 percent of men as a facial cleanser alternative. How cool is that?
Besides cleansing balm, other skincare products that are also favorites among men are serum (26.4 percent) and masks (25.7 percent). This is tangible proof that men’s self-care awareness is increasing. So, there’s no longer any reason for men to neglect their appearance, okay!
